President makes light of Steve Scalise near death by shooting experience (VIDEO)

When a president discounts the severity of gun violence and its effect directly and indirectly on Americans, it is evident he just does not care. The president started " target="_blank">his speech at the White House function celebrating the pilfer of the American people with the passage of the Republican tax cut scam. When he got to Steve Scalise, the Republican Congressman that was shot at a baseball practice session a few months ago. Scalise spent several months in the hospital near death.

Not uncommon to use gallows humor following a close call.

Jesus, I'm actually giving that S.O.B. a pass. I'll come down twice as hard on the next truly stupid/insulting/anti-American thing he says -- it shouldn't take long.
