Pushing back on Fox News

I can't be the only one to notice recent overt pushback against Fox from other networks' personalities, from pundits, from talking heads, and from politicians. More and more, instead of "on another network" we hear them name Fox News.

Just a day or two ago, MSNBC's Nicole Wallace referred to the Fox personalities, and Jeanine Pirro in particular, as "those nut jobs on Fox."

Ever since the Bush selection of 2000 I have been of the opinion that Fox is just plain subversive. Probably not legally, but in effect, yes.

It seems to me that Fox works in direct contact, in collusion, with the GOPedo. Can't that be seen as campaigning for them? If it is, is that allowed? If it isn't, what's the remedy?

If there is no remedy, then the push back needs to grow. As people, we can start to shame Fox viewers in the same way smokers and drunk drivers were shamed. Smokers used to be everywhere. In my wider social and professional circles I know only one smoker. There may be others, but they hide it well.

And that one smoker I know? He's a FoxWatcher.

And he stinks.

were before and more people are hearing about what the hell is going on over there.
Also their evening lineup has officially gone off the rails of any kind of semblance of sanity...and I agree people are freaking noticing. FINALLY.

anybody and everybody in media refer to Fox News as The Fox Entertainment Channel because that's what they are. They are entertainment not news. And while they aren't entertaining to any of us here on DU, they certainly are to their deplorable viewers. Fox Entertainment Channel. Call it what it is. They'd hate it and it would set their collective hair on fire. Fuck them if they can't take it.

They certainly don't try to report accurate news or inform the American populace.

It is brainwashing for an intentional purpose.

We are being torn apart from within and we're still thinking Republicans and Democrats.

I truly believe it's beyond that. It's oligarchy versus democracy.

9. I'd say Fox News should not be classified as a news agency.

Instead they are a foreign aided intelligence agency that has clear, hostile intentions to undermine American authority and destroy rule by democracy.

5. Wish we could get a massive movement going to boycott their advertisers.

But doesn't seem like enough people are pushing for that. There has to be a way to shut down Fox. It truly is a huge part of why this country is so horrible.

Advertising revenue doesn't matter.

BTW, I was not putting you down. I seem to recall a few smaller boycotts that got some results when Billo was there. Or was it Glenn Beck?

They aren't a news venue. They're a propaganda tool that doesn't mind losing money if they can sway stupid people.

They prefer to report rumors and outright lies.

They are not a credible news organization. But everyone knows that already.

is that they tend to suppress unflattering news about Republicans. I usually flip around between CNN, MSNBC and Fox on my TV set in the mornings. The day after the Alabama Senate election, here's what I noticed the three morning shows on those networks were talking about at the same time:

CNN (New Day): Doug Jones

MSNBC (Morning Joe): Doug Jones

Fox (Fox & Friends): The uplifting story of a soldier who had returned home to surprise his kids at a local sporting event. The Alabama election didn't go their way, so I guess it wasn't important.
