I remember when it was first instituted while I was working for Human Services at the state level. It was so clearly a significant step towards universal health care. The elderly, the disabled and the families in poverty had coverage. Now the kids of working families above the poverty level would have meaningful health coverage. But the rug is being pulled out.
Who is next? I hear that they'll go after disability beneficiaries. They go after the vulnerable populations that can't easily defend themselves.
This is hellish.
