No one's worried about returning after the holidays and finding Mueller's now our secretary of state or Kozinski's replacement on the 9th Circuit, though.

rogue presidential appointments during the Obama administration. I have no idea whether they intend to do the same with this administration.

Not firings. And for reasons I don't understand, this opens up the majority party To filibuster by the minority party...it's quite complicated but here's an article that makes this clearer.

And, yes, only the majority party can initiate this. Better hope trump doesn't fire Sessions because he could TRY to appoint a new AG that WOULD fire Mueller.

The soap opera continues. "As the Trump Circus World Turns..."?

Make the republicans defend shutting the government down because they won't take measures to protect a lawful investigation.

with Mueller and isn't showing much interest in firing him. I think Mueller looks more threatening to Trump than he rely is. Sorry, the whole thing looks like showmanship. So far, Mueller has not delivered the justice that was hoped for. Exposing minions for testimonial inaccuracies barely meets the definition of justice. Mueller is expected to deliver trump on a silver platter. So far he has neither , Trump nor Platter. Trying to fire Mueller would be a bad if he tried.

And that could be why Trump said he isn't interested in firing him. His handlers are protecting Trump from any bad news since there's no telling how he'll react. And we've also heard that the Mueller investigation has gotten quite complicated - there is so much information - that it could last another year.

huge negatives for doing it.

I think about 65% of this country now realizes trump is an actual traitor.

For instance if a democrat had done one one thousandth of what we know trump has done, that democrat would be impeached, imprisoned and chased to another galaxy.

A democrat could not own a hotel, let alone do what trump has done, for one day, they would be gone.
