New Jersey Governor Chris Christie used an MSNBC appearance to cast suspicion on Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and husband of Ivanka Trump.

Christie said Kushner "deserves scrutiny" by special counsel Robert Mueller because "he was involved in the transition and involved in meetings that call into question his role."

The governor explained that if Kushner is innocent, the investigation would clear him. He added, "And if he’s not, that will come out too."

“Whether he deserves it or not, he’s getting it,” Christie said of the increased scrutiny of Kushner, “[T]he facts will determine that ultimately."

Christie also stifled GOP talking points that insinuate Mueller is part of an anti-Trump conspiracy, saying, "[Mueller's] an honest guy. I believe he will do an honest, fair investigation."

Chris Christie was the Federal Prosecutor who put Jared ‘s father Charles Kushner in prison for illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering.
Those two hate each other.

After all, Jared watched Christie put his dad in prison.

Christie may dislike Jared's father, but, in terms of that case, had no particular reason to dislike his son.

Christie is more politically experienced than the noobs in the WH. Unlike them, he knows how to buffer himself effectively enough to make sure that only his minions take the fall.

Probably as Vice President since his campaign to be President failed. Kushner threw his ass to the street.

Now he's going to fuck with Kushner any way he can. Going on the news programs is just one part of his plan.

I wouldn't put it past him one bit to leak some dirt he's got on Kushner either.

Christie has lots of experience in covering his ass and covering up any trails that lead back to him.

He came close to getting nailed for 'BridgeGate', but so far he's skated on that one.

He's a nasty, vulgar bastard but he's smart and clever too. Bad combination of ingredients to put all together.

are Republicans as opposed to Teapublicans or populist Rinos. Christie danced around the edge of it with Trump and got burnt without getting any mud on himself. Bridgegate was more Watergate than Russiagate.

something GOP presidents facing impeachment do to "traitors". I wish he knew where some of the bodies were buried.
