I'm going to give praise to certain republicans in this thread

Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, Richard Painter and David Frum.

These guys and a few others - by speaking truth to power and being brutally honest about .45 -have given me more hope for a grownup, sensible, reality-based future than almost anyone in my party thus far. Truth is important, and our folks need to get more aggressive with it. Party leadership should take note (and take notes) whenever these guys are on the teevee.

These men may be Republicans with a conscience who understand how the people and policies they have previously supported have brought us to the hideous place. While I welcome their pointed comments today, they are not stupid and don't deserve a pass.
