I as talking with a co-worker this morning. Big fan of Trump and voted on him. She has already figured out that this "tax bill" will be awful for her. She barely keeps her head above water now and it may very well cause her to financially drown.
I kept the conversation to just the bill but really wanted to ask her if she was still a fan of Trump. No sympathy here as I figure she is learning that actions do have consequences.

(3,194 posts)Trump could kill a member of her family, and she would probably think it was just a misunderstanding.

(10,828 posts)the Trumpettes/Trumpdudes will 'get it' and/or wake from the fugue they've willingly entered.
I don't wish pain on others but ripping the blinders off, regardless of the discomfort, may be the only way people come around and start thinking on their own.
Trump never gave a shit about them because he's a dedicated con-artist interested only in his own well-being. He thinks it was low class for Pence to bring his pets to DC. Can you imagine what he really thinks about the working class?
Suckers. Not Deplorables but Disposables. A means to an end. His history is littered with the names of those he's scammed and stiffed.
Wake up, people. Your hero is just not into you.

I'm saving my pity and compassion for those who didn't vote for Trump, but are going to suffer nonetheless.
