there could be hard right-wing organizations that keep investigative dossiers on all the Rethugs (probably Dems, too) and they only use that info when needed for leverage. Passing some tidbit to Don the Con to get that tax bill through, eh?

They certainly want to influence our legislation, so why wouldn't they keep dirt files on all the pols?

I would bet the FBI and/or CIA keep files on all our politicians but those should be kept under wraps until needed for future prosecutions.
