If Democrats win back the House and Senate, what should be the most important issue?

Of course, they will need to fix this scam of a tax plan that was passed yesterday and repair the damage done to Obamacare. Also, they should not interfere with any on-going investigations.

3. Revocation of citizenship.

That's my "other" vote up there. Everyone who took money or political support from the Russians, or helped to conceal that fact, is a traitor unworthy of the United States. And I also happen to suspect that virtually all of the Republican leadership has done exactly this.

There is no reconciliation with people who have done such a thing. They need to be tried, convicted, nationally reviled so that their offspring have no chance of participating in politics either, and kicked straight the fuck out of this country, forever.

And then I would make the argument that everything that followed from the election of 2016 was in fact the result of foreign interference, and all the beneficiaries of *that* are next on the goddamned gibbet. They give back everything, then they give over everything else to retain their citizenship, or get the fuck out, forever. 90% income tax on anything over a million bucks, or get the fuck out. Conceal profits overseas, and we'll revoke the charter of the fucking corporation.

Here's the thing about American billionaires: you can hunt down and eject every last one of them from the US and *nobody would notice*. They have no actual hold on the US economy because they hide their money elsewhere, they invest their money elsewhere, and they pretty much behave as international citizens with no ownership stake in everything they're fucking up. The French proved this a few years back when they jacked up taxes on the super-rich and a huge proportion of them ran off to Switzerland. Nobody cared, an the French people came out the better for it.

...because the fact is that, even if we recapture both chambers in 2018, Trump will be able to veto any attempt to undo his damage. All we can do in the next Congress is a) prevent the damage from being made worse, and b) creating the circumstances for a Democratic president two years later.

But perhaps even MORE important, but not among your choices, is to fix the media.

The "Pmurt" bill reverses every single thing Trump did while in office with the stroke of a pen. It will never survive veto (unless we somehow got a veto-proof majority), but introduce it anyway. Why? Because fuck him. That's why.
