among high-level Republicans is pulling the other way. The investigation threatens to uncover what they really need hidden about themselves, not just Trump's group.

For instance, they passed laws that allowed Russia to legally donate money to reelect them and many of their PACs and NPOs have been taking money from Putin. Plus Russia has been paying to get more Republicans into office, and how would their constituents feel about that, legal or not?

that Russia has Trump by the financial nuts. IMHO, what Russia has that's even more important than the financial strings it has on Trump is their knowledge that Trump isn't nearly as rich as he claims.
