https://nypost.com/2017/12/22/coroner-releases-grim-report-on-vegas-massacre/Las Vegas killer Stephen Paddock ...(killed himself immediately)... after he slaughtered 58 people in the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history, according to a coroners report.
According to Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg, none of the victims killed at an outdoor concert Oct. 1 was trampled to death while trying to escape the festival grounds.
Some survivors have described receiving injuries other than gunfire during their escapes.
Most of those killed died from a single gunshot wound, according to the coroners office. Four victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Twenty-one people were shot in the head, 36 died with chest and back wounds and one <snip> died of a gunshot to the leg, according to a chart the coroner released.
<snip>
Officials have said more than 500 people were injured when Paddock, 64, a high-stakes video poker gambler, sprayed gunfire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel into a crowd of 22,000 people at the Route 91 Harvest Festival below.
When police stormed Paddocks suite after he stopped firing, they discovered shell casings all over the floor.
My initial scan, coming in the room with my rifle, is just seeing, Im seeing one male down, bleeding from the face, said Officer Matthew Donaldson. He was not a threat. Kept going, kept going, kept going.
Federal and local authorities have not said publicly what they think motivated Paddock to amass an arsenal of assault-style weapons and ammo.

(65,058 posts). . .i read reports that some people were hit by bullets that actually went through someone else first. This article didn't mention that though, so that might have been speculation in the heat of the event.

(34,170 posts)And I provided you with the legal definition of a WMD which clearly doesn't include guns.
That's so what.
Oh, you want to add guns to the list? Go ahead and write your congressperson. I'm sure they'll jump right on that.

(5,762 posts)Someone or more than one someone will get shot and killed. Maybe in a domestic dispute. Maybe in road rage incident. Maybe in several unrelated incidents.
And then it will happen the next day. A toddler will shoot his sister. A stray bullet will kill a teenager.
And then it will happen the next day. And the day after that.
One day soon, there will be another "big" one that no one could have possibly predicted, followed by thoughts and prayers, and murmurs of "it's too soon" and "don't politicize this."

(7,809 posts)We all knew that.
But there were several stories of people helping wounded strangers to the exits. Strong men helped other concert goers over the fence, not knowing if or when bullets would come their way. People driving by in cars picked up wounded people and took them to the hospital emergency because there weren't enough ambulances.
It was stories like the above that give me hope for humanity.

(13,081 posts)Because there are so many crazy Alex Jones motherfuckers either requesting reports for the 58 deceased, threatening the coroners office staff for their coverup, or both.
Even runners and paralegals arent allowed in the building anymore, not even the front desk.
Lawyers, and lawyers ONLY, have to show up with their bar card, photo ID, and proof of the legitimate case theyre working on, October 1st massacre-related or otherwise. Theyve stopped unlocking the door for everybody else.
One of the problems this has caused us with serving subpoenas, requests, etc., as not even the process servers are allowed in anymore. Too many crazies.
(Im not sure about family members).
