That's really where this conversation is going?

You must be new here -- I've already addressed multiple times in nauseating detail each point in your post...

In a trial he would not be permitted to argue his leaks were in the public interest.

In America whistle blowers are locked up.

Forget phone calls — a new app from The Guardian Project, the Freedom of the Press Foundation and Edward Snowden aims to turn Android smartphones into tiny, unobtrusive security systems. Haven, released today in public beta, was designed to use a phone's built-in sensors to track sudden changes in the environment around it. Let's say you'd like to keep tabs on a room while you're away from it — the app can direct compatible devices to record unexpected sounds, look out for changes in ambient light, and notice if it's being picked up or tampered with. You can even prop the phone up and set up the camera for use as a motion tracker, just for good measure.

before Snowden were punished-despite the fact that we had laws that were supposed to protect them. The likelihood that Snowden would not also

There is absolutely no evidence that Snowden was working for Russia when he revealed we were being spied upon.

He fled elsewhere but had to leave and with nowhere else to go, accepted help from Wikileaks to get to Russia.

He was foolish to trust Wikileaks but at the time many on the left and many Democrats trusted Wikileaks at that time.

Perhaps we were all foolish to not see that Russia was interfering massively in our election in 2016 and undermining democracy---but the fact is we did not know and many of the people in positions of power who did know-including many Democrats-chose to not tell us.

The alarm about Russia and about Trump was sounded by former intelligence personnel, and by the candidate herself-and not formally by our government officials in place at the time.

I respect whistleblower status. I regret the US did not protect those NSA whistleblowers.

The fact that Russia retweets a statement by Snowden is not evidence of his being "their boy."

It is further evidence of Russian manipulation of social media to undermine democracy.

H Clinton, the candidate, stated that a person such as Trump who can be baited with a tweet should not be trusted with the presidency.

Can citizens who are able to be baited with a tweet be trusted to preserve democracy? Probably not-so maybe we need to get a lot smarter fast.
