(17,863 posts)Any progressives own a significant chunk of stock with these companies? How about sitting on their boards. I would like to see them ask that'd question at the next annual meeting.

(6,363 posts)...where business leaders from the US are offering gifts to Batista to get into Cuba. AT&T CEO shows up with a wooden box to a big meeting in what appears to be 1956/57 or so. Opens it us and says "This solid gold telephone is a gift from us to the people of Cuba to celebrate this momentous deal". LOL - like the people of Cuba were going to make calls on that thing.
Point is...for these big multi-national companies, the banana republic fawning is nothing new. It's second nature in many parts of the world. It's just new in the US

(20,202 posts)A $1000 bonus is the equivalent of a a 50 cent per hour raise over a year's time. That's $20 a week. It's not even dinner at McDonald's for a family of 4.

(11,885 posts)Will we find out that companies are having to pay to people, very high up in our government, into their super PAC's for receiving their tax breaks, or laundering payoffs, like Russians maybe doing already to use to dole out to others in Congress for their support campaigns too, and for legal fee's and more? Remember all the accusations made towards others ? Makes you wonder.
