2100 Climate (Warming)Change Likely Too Conservative. Extremes Could Flip Much Sooner.

The dire consequences of climate (warming)change are probably a bit conservative. The real problem is that the worst consequences could flip on us suddenly and without warning. The common meme that it will be 2100 before the worse consequences hit make it seem like we have nearly 80 years to correct our ways. Such a "climate game of chicken" is probably more dangerous than we can know.

I am wondering if it all could happen sooner and quickly. We have no idea because models are models. We are already seeing warning signs yet we ignore them in the US while the rest of the world is trying to take action. We are in a real science fiction movie that is not fiction at all.

Like characters in disaster movies there are signs, warnings and events either recognized by a few or ignore altogether. And like disaster movies when the you know what hits the fan it will be too late. The last minute heroics that saves the planet and the characters in a sci fi story will not save us in this new reality.

So I do not know what you do with a country like the US that allows denial and obstruction.
