Did GOPers in Congress or the Cabinet kiss Reagan's or W's ass as fawningly

as they seem to be doing to Trump? Because I don't remember anything like that. Yes, they ardently defended the actions and policies, even the worst ones, of these presidents; but I do not recall ever seeing any ass-kissing sessions like Trump has held, where at a Cabinet meeting they went around the room offering fulsome praise to the president's face, and he soaked it all up. I don't recall any occasions where, upon the passage of major legislation, members of Congress had a press conference where they praised the president in obsequious terms for making the legislation possible.

Reagan was a saint to the GOP; they adored him during his presidency. After his death (in some cases, even before), they tried to name every single damn federal building or facility after him. But I never remember any Dear Leader-style fellatio festivals like we've seen the GOPers offer Trump. I doubt most of them even like Trump personally (hardly anybody does), but they actually did like Reagan and W. Nevertheless they're blowing Trump in a way they never did for any of his predecessors.

So WTF is going on? Are they just flattering Dolt 45 to keep in his good graces (like some dictators who'd have people shot if they didn't laugh at his jokes), or does he have dirt on them? The Russians probably hacked the RNC, too; did they give (or sell) blackmail material to Trump?

It's the weirdest damn thing...

I think Russia has the goods on a lot of republican congress critters by hacking and spying in their personal lives. A good majority of the rethug congress is probably compromised. I can't remember the Russian word for it but they are in deep.

w/ Reagan and W on about 90% of their policies, they weren't damaged people like 45 is.

Had they wanted the unrelenting adoration 45 does, I'm sure the Repubs would have complied, though maybe more for W than Reagan. The party truly has changed. Dignity has eroded over the years.

7. Ritual public humiliation of his minions is normal part of autocratic rule . . .

This is especially important to show the nation as Trump takes a victory lap with his cabinet. By publically humiliating his minions on nationwide tv, he makes it clear that he alone has the power to accomplish anything.
