according to our Constitution. I've come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter where you are born. The internet and Trump are a whole lot more dangerous than my son.

(2,857 posts)Did you give birth to him in Ukraine or adopt? Cruz was born in Canada and the reps had no problem with it since his biological mother was born here...even though the dad was Cuban and I think the mom was giving up her citizenship and voted in Canadian elections.
They make up different rules for themselves. Just have him run as a republican.

(694 posts)He is a dual citizen until he turns 18. He was born in Ukraine and his birth mom and dad relinquished rights. My husband (now deceased) and I traveled to Ukraine to adopt a child. We had no idea we would adopt our son until we found him in Pryluky. We both fell so hard, we couldn't leave him in that orphanage.

(694 posts)but, I do believe that some democrats have let us down, and I worry that we are playing into the republican's hands.
We need to remember what and who we are about, without going over board.
