I just hope theDems put up a couple.of really good candidates. I'm not feeling so good about our judgment after the march to dump Franken. No due process. Blah, blah.

Maybe, I need to take a break from it all, show up to vote Yellow Dog Dem and hope they don't self destruct. One thing we can count on is for Repubs to cheat. It's bad enough to have to fight the lying, cheating Repubs, but when we turn on our best Dems, it feels so hopeless.

.... Franken's detractors are standing on continues to crumble. I wonder where this leaves one of their major assertions that Franken's supporters are being sexist in "attacking the women" who are accusing him? While I'm at it, I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me exactly how questioning gillibrand's motives for calling for his resignation is sexist as has been asserted many times right here. I really want to know.

Let me edit this to add my own K&R

... was the person who said they blamed/were taking protest action against only the female Senators who had called for his resignation, not any of the men who joined in with them too.

I may have missed a few threads, though.

I am more focused on trying to encourage people in red districts/states who remember not having anyone Blue to vote for in 2016 on their Congressional ballots to search for candidates and encourage them to run, and for people to start making state-by-state manuals for voters to help overcome voter suppression through education. Make sure people know in advance when to register, what their laws are, outlining the provisional ballot process in each state as well so voters know what to do if they're td that's the only way to vote...

And later on, phonebanking and local organization efforts for getting people to the polls.

It's a crying shame that the only way I could vote against the Republican congresscritter my district sends to Washington was to vote for a bloody Libertarian. Even if we can't fund all those candidates the same, we can encourage local level work and give people who want to say no to Trump and what this Congress is doing the opportunity to vote Blue.

.... It's not. The sole argument for that assertion is that gillibrand is a woman. I'm not questioning her motives because she is a woman. I am questioning her motives because they are questionable, just as it would be for anyone in her situation. Since the OP is quite hesitant to provide an answer to my questions, I'll put them to you. Exactly how is questioning gillibrand's motives sexist, and what do you say to all the women who are questioning her motives exactly as I am? Should they all be labeled as sexist?
You can't just say "look, it's right there plain as day", and expect anyone with a modicum of common sense and logic to accept that as an answer. Actual substance is called for.
