So I wonder if Michael Wolff has Bannon on tape.

Because it isn't too big a leap to assume that Bannon will deny some of the statements attributed to him if there is no recording of him saying it.

And Michael Wolff has been accused in the past of getting facts wrong and inventing or changing quotes. So he'd make a great patsy.

Wolff has been controversial, but he's also won some journalism awards. Given the subject matter, he'll have to be able to defend what he wrote.
