The wildest (most effective?) day of book promotion continues, as yet another explosive revelation from Michael Wolff‘s soon-to-be-published opus on President Donald Trump‘s White House is making the rounds.

In an excerpt reported by MSNBC, White House communications director Hope Hicks was said to be in conversation with the president and his sons at Trump Tower — reportedly worried about the treatment that former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was receiving from the media. Hicks apparently wondered aloud how she might be able to help the embattled Lewandowski.

“You’ve already done enough for him,” the president reportedly said. “You’re the best piece of tail he’ll ever have.”

The comment was apparently a reference to a romantic relationship in which Hicks and Lewandowski were long rumored to have engaged. According to author Wolff, Trump’s comment sent Hicks running from the room.
