I'm not sure what will happen in terms of publication and distribution.

from the back of a matchbook. I can't even imagine how any of them got through law school.

Meanwhile, this is all probably just to appease the big man-baby in the White House, who most likely believes they can stop Wolff's book. I'm sure Trump is missing his Trump Tower days, where he could bully, threaten, and sue the crap out of everyone.

An instant best seller.
And just let Trump try and ban it...
it would transcend to cult stardom.

It seems advance and review copies are already out there though.

Prior restraint has a tough time working in today's world. It is not like you can seize the printer plates. I highly doubt a court is going to stop Amazon, audible, Barnes and Noble, and every other electronic outlet from distribution.

Can they really be this stupid? I am looking for the grand strategy behind it.

It's burned into my memory because back at the beginning they offered to sell a new edition of (true story) Orwell's 1984. Some dispute with the publisher failed to get resolved, so overnight Kindle took it back from the devices of all the people who had purchased it and credited their accounts. Yes, it just disappeared.

Paper for me, thanks, if they want my money.

Any book can still go out for free, and thus be downloaded and/or printed out. Suppression only goes so far, as yet.

Look at all the conspiracy theory books written about the Clintons, and all the lies that were published about Obama. Trump can't sue about this book any more than previous political figures could sue the authors who penned derogatory books about them. As much as it might gall Trump that he doesn't have the same protections as a private citizen, scathing criticism comes with being a public figure.

Note that he sicced his lawyers on the author and the publisher rather than going into a courtroom to convince a judge to issue a legal ruling in support of his challenge. He's got no case here, but he is accomplishing one thing, the free publicity will undoubtedly boost book sales and make the author and the publisher a ton of money. Thanks Trump, you idiot loser!

child under oath in a deposition and then have fun. He will perjure himself and if Wolf can get in front of a New York jury in addition to compensatory damages,he might be awarded punitive damages as well. Then when Trumpanzee can’t pay because he is cash poor, expose him for the fraud he is. He has had to dip into his campaign account for legal fees. What kind of billionaire has to tap his campaign fund? I think Trump is a total fraud and no where near a billionaire. Expose the Russian money laundering operation and forfeit all his assets. Let him rot in prison and die in abject poverty. He deserves nothing less.

Kitty Kelley wrote about him. It didn't work, and it just made the book more popular.
