I dont care if you are a bot, GOP, KGB or a far far "left" person, results will be the same

rant on:

You will get sick of hearing me say it, folks, but ANY post that puts both parties in the same boat on ANY issue or uses phrases like "democrat politician" is problematic.

Are they bots? Are they JPR? Are they GOP? Are they what some call FAR left types who throw the D party under the bus routinely?

Who cares which, the RESULTS of their propaganda is the same.

People take for granted what Obama did, but what he did was SAVE our country and our economy, not single handed but had any GOP been in office in 2009, we would have crashed and crashed BAD.

The work he did, the accomplishments, I NEVER want to hear both parties put in the same boat, on this message board, ever again!

Are you WITH ME!

Not important which post I saw that inspired this.

Politely correct them when it happens. We all agree our largest untapped potential at the polls are people who don't vote or aren't interested. Don't be too stringent on attacking certain verbiage when those who are unfamiliar are our biggest potential for electoral victories.

"Are they bots? Are they JPR? Are they GOP? Are they what some call FAR left types who throw the D party under the bus routinely? "

People who aren't educated on proper jargon might simply be new to the game.

I see extremely few posts here claiming both parties are the same.

In the briefing today Sarah referred to the Democrat Party. Using this term in such disparaging fashion is not only incorrect but discourteous. As a Democrat, I belong to the Democratic Party. Wish that these Publicans could understand that concept.

No absolute argument can be made from such an observation. No solid argument can be made from said observation.

I've been very clear in my posts. It matters not to me if you agree or disagree. This is a discussion board.

Propaganda is anathema, to be shunned regardless of your political party. It is a bane of society that we must root out and destroy.

A slight tweaking of the narrative?

I can't imagine anyone on DU falling for that, though, unless they were a troll.

A definition of "false equivalency" could use DemocratRepublican as an example. Beyond both "bipedal mammals," (for the most part) there is little resemblance.

There are issues, however, where the Democrats have tried to close over the last 35 years where they really need to distance themselves, instead.

While the "both parties are the same" statement is demonstrably false, there is legitimate room to criticize the Dems for 3-4 decades of moving to the right.

I make it a point to avoid using the term “Republican Party,” preferring to call it by its more accurate name: The Trump Party.
If questioned it gives me the chance for a 30-second rant on how the Party of Lincoln died during the Autumn of 2016.
