There has been a flurry of activity from the Justice Department in the last couple of days.
Rosenstein and Wray make a visit to Paul Ryan yesterday. Today we find out that Nunes has been given the green light to continue his investigation. Would that be on Hillary's emails? Most likely, they went together to visit Ryan on the order of Jeff Sessions, their boss.
Then, we hear that Sessions is thinking of cracking down on marijuana distributors in states that have voted it legal.
Then, in a separate story, we hear that Sessions is going to approve a new investigation of Hillary's emails.
In my opinion, Sessions was given an ultimatum: Get the attention off this Mueller investigation or resign?
Trump would like if Sessions were to resign and he could get a new AG that would fire Mueller. But there is no guarantee that would stop the investigation, unless the new FBI Director were to also stop the FBI from investigating further.
