If you needed any more evidence of whose side WikiLeaks is on:

WikiLeaks posted the full text of Michael Wolff’s explosive new book about President Trump on Sunday.

The website’s official account tweeted a link to a Google Drive containing the full text of the book.

“New Trump book ‘Fire and Fury’ by Michael Wolff. Full PDF:” the tweet read.

I'm not sure that many of those downloading from WikiLeaks would have purchased anyway.

So isn't the main impact likely to be an increase in readership numbers worldwide?

And that's something which would annoy Trump no end.

We aren't breaking the law if we download it. We're breaking the law if we share it (or sell it) with another person.
Be very careful when downloading from torrent sites though. You can be tracked and ID'd, so it's essential to use a VPN.

A 6 year old can do tech stuff better than I can (really, I taught first grade...they can also break/destroy tech better and faster too) and wasn't able to do it. Then I realized that I could've gotten some sort of virus since it was from Wikileaks. YIKES! I am dumber than a sack of hair and deserve it. Curiosity killed the cat and now probably my tablet. Could they really do that tech sort of thing?

If you have Norton, MacAffee or any of the up-to-date antivirus software, scan the file you've downloaded.
That's it. You'll know immediately if it's safe to open.

More importantly be sure to download using a VPN so you can't be tracked or identified.

It doesn't do the anti virus stuff that my desktop does, or perhaps it does but I don't get the same notices and visual updates and am not aware of it. Since it wouldn't accept the download does that mean it is protected somehow?

Here's what I would do:
Download it to your desktop and scan it with the antivirus. If it checks out (and it probably will) then transfer from your desktop to your tablet. Or you can use Calibre (free & awesome ebook software) and read the book in your desktop.

Just need to say - would you kiss that mouth (piece) knowing where it's been? Beyond the ethics, there are so many things which can go bad here.

As a minimum, assume that they now have your name. At the worst, they may have done something to your security. Not worth the price especially considering most of the good stuff will be online as "news" and revelations.

If you can't afford to either get the Kindle version and/or a new copy from a reputable book store, then please wait and get it from your friendly neighborhood used book store. Powells, Half-price books and others will have copies soon enough. I also half-expect Costco will have it for sale in their mass trade book tables in a couple of months.
