The Republicans have been saying false things for decades and getting away with it.

What universe does Trump exist in? Is there another that I can teleport to where he doesn't exist?!

Of course, the only thing that he knows or cares about in terms of libel laws is that people are being mean to him.

if it helps them, it's true; if it doesn't, it's false.

they don't believe in an objective reality or an objective truth; it's all subjective based on the needs of their tribe, or in donnie's case, donnie himself.

this explains everything from "trickle-down" to "fake news" to his attitude toward criticism and libel laws.

he's all about media perception, and with a propaganda network like fox news in his corner, the truth is whatever they say it is over and over and over again.
