It's -8 degrees here in the Twin Cities. I'm just about to go out and clear about 4" snow from my driveway and sidewalks. That job is complicated by a layer of ice lying underneath the snow.
The same storm is moving eastward right now, heading for you. As here, a layer of ice will be deposited on surfaces before the snow falls. Be very careful as you work to remove the snow. Don't slip and fall on that ice.
I'm going to strap cleats onto my snow boots to prevent a fall. Please take care once this arrives in your area.

This weather is strange. Right now, it's 60º in New York City but by Sunday the temperature will drop into the mid-twenties. Last week it was in the single digits.
Our planet has been damaged and the weather reflects this.

I wouldn't pour it all in one spot or you may end up with holes in your concrete

(146,331 posts)Any time it's below zero, you have to take a break for that. Otherwise, it's going well. Not too slippery under the snow.
