Trump's Grand Strategy

..is to divide and conquer.

His plan is to create such a division between the Democrats and Republicans that under all circumstances, the Republicans will stand behind and support him against whatever charges may come in the future.

He doesn't want Democratic Party support. He wants them to oppose everything he does so he can use it to divide the people even further.

If the time comes when Mueller might indict or press charges, Trump will have his army of Republican supporters behind him, not just the base, but all of them.

If he can reach the point where he feels that the Republicans are so pissed off at the Democrats and united behind him, then he is likely to do the unthinkable and fire Robert Mueller.

That is his strategy, in my opinion.

That way he can continue to say he is winning and the other side is losing. It is no way to govern, but he has no interest in governing. His only interest is not being seen as the loser (thus in his mind, the de facto winner).

with a goal of money and power.

It has been quite successful for them and the American people have bought into the strategy hook, line and sinker.
