I admire Neil Diamond and I'm sorry he's ill. But the news made no mention
of the death (not illness) of a musician I admire much more--Hugh Masekela.

My mother really latched on to that song when it came out. I only realized years later that that was when my parents' marriage started to crumble, and she found something to identify with in the lyrics.
