9. I heard a statistic this morning that I still can't get over.

It's only January 24th and we've already had eleven school shootings this year.

13. There have actually been 13 shootings in this time frame.

There was a shooting in PA shortly after the school shooting in Kentucky. Did a little research and in those shootings there were 13 deaths and 71 injuries, for a total of 84 victims, many of them between 0 and 18 years of age. The NRA is an evil organization at this point and I am tired of hearing that guns don't kill people, people do.

15. The 2nd Amendment

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

When was the Constitution written? Was there a National Guard Armory nearby? The militia citizens had no place to keep their weapons other than at home. What did the King think of weapons in 1776? Was the King still a threat to us? What happened in 1812? Did the White House burn down from British troops?

We are no longer a frontier society. Now, it would seem as a society, I would say we no longer need home storage of weapons. Do you hunt? Then you need a long gun. You want to play with a handgun, go out to the gun club. Leave it there, in your locker.
