After President Donald Trump volunteered to be interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller under oath, his White House lawyer has clarified that the president spoke too quickly when making the offer.
Ty Cobb, the White House lawyer leading the response to the investigation, said Mr. Trump was speaking hurriedly and intended only to say that he was willing to meet, the New York Times Maggie Haberman wrote on an update to the original report that broke the story.
Hes ready to meet with them, but hell be guided by the advice of his personal counsel, Cobb told the Times, adding that Muellers team was working out arrangements with Trumps personal representation.

(33,643 posts)Either via this 'secret society'/Nunes Memo BULLSHIT ... or something more direct like firing him and/or Rosenstein and replacing him w/someone who'll undermine him at every turn.
There is exactly ZERO chances in HELL Trump is going to go in front of Mueller under oath for a formal/legal interview. He believes he's KING and therefore above such trifling matters.
This was said so he can point to it LATER to try to give the impression he was GONNA do it, but ... well, ya know ... there was a secret deep state society and all ... so I had to fire Mueller and purge the FBI of it's 'disloyal' management. I would LIKED to and everything because NO COLLUSION but never got the chance. SAD!
