Instead of attacking the FBI, the DOJ, and our judicial system, instead of undermining our democratic institutions at every opportunity, instead of promoting ridiculous conspiracy theories about “secret societies”, instead of dredging up complete bullshit about Hillary and Obama, instead of pretending to be moral, upstanding people while defending the immoral criminal you elected, why not just say what you really mean and be done with it:

“We Republicans are traitors to our country, willing to do anything to protect the idiot we put in the White House. We need to undermine any investigations into his behaviour because we know he’s guilty of the crimes he is being investigated for. We don’t give a flyin’ fuck about facts, the truth, or the rule of law, and we certainly don’t give a shit about the nation or its citizens.”

There ya go – easy-peasy. Just lay it all out there. Put an end to having to defend the indefensible, and having to keep up this ludicrous pretense that your actions are about anything other than covering Trump’s ass – as well as the asses of your own party members, many of whom are as guilty as he is.

One honest, truthful, statement from you, and you'll never have to engage in your embarrassing little song-and-dance routine ever again.

And by the way, don't worry about tipping your hand. There isn't a single citizen with a functioning brain that doesn't already know you're traitors who don't give a shit about them or your country. It's not like saying it outright is going to come as a surprise to anyone.
