Julian Assange just dropped any last pretense at being a neutral journalist:

Julian Assange offered Sean Hannity dirt on democratic Sen. Mark Warner from the Senate intelligence commitee.

------------------------

It almost looks like a pattern:

- 2008 (IIRC) was the last time that Wikileaks published a document that was leaked from Russia.

- In an interview, when asked about his opinion on Trump, Assange ranted about Hillary Clinton.

- In an interview, Assange said that Wikileaks times the releases for maximum political impact.

- Wikileaks is hosted on servers in Moscow owned by the russian cyber-criminal Peter Chayanov. It is known that the russian government allows criminal hackers to go about their business if they also work for the russian government.

- Wikileaks provided Donald Trump Jr. unsolicited with talking-points.

- Wikileaks provided Donald Trump Jr. unsolicited with opposition-research on anti-Trump Republicans.

- Wikileaks proposed to Donald Trump Jr. to form an alliance to better attack Hillary Clinton.

- Wikileaks published a pirated version of "Fire&Fury", even though the book is on sale everywhere.

- And now Julian Assange has offered Sean Hannity dirt on a Democrat.
If Wikileaks' goal were transparency, they would simply publish this dirt by themselves.
If Wikileaks' goal were political manipulation, they would hand it over to a party of interest.

that was leaked from Russia in almost 10 years. Did you mean to write they have not published a document that was NOT leaked from Russia in almost 10 years?

Wikileaks sorts its leaks by country. Last time I checked, the most recent leak from Russia happened in 2008.

As a journalist I have no love for the way Wikileaks release documents without any decent editorial or security process. But yes, they still do leak stuff from Russia too:

"September 19th 2017, WikiLeaks starts publishing the series "Spy Files Russia" with documents from the Russian company Петер-Сервис (PETER-SERVICE). This release includes 209 documents (34 base documents in different versions) dated between 2007 and 2015."

Wikileaks literally offered to Don Jr. that he should send them something that Wikileaks could leak about Donald Trump to create an "illusion of impartiality" when attacking Hillary Clinton.

For all we know, Wikileaks could be doing exactly that: They leak something minor about Russia to make it look as if they are neutral.

But it IS distressing to me how I sided with Manning, and Assange and even Snowden to some extent, and then she gets pardoned and hangs around with the nazi crowd in DC.

I acted on several e-mail action reqs from orgs, that said 'ask Prez O to pardon Chelsea Manning'. I always added Peltier and a local man named Martin Esquivel Hernandez to those requests, neither of them got clemency, pardon, or relief.

So ironically, I was snookered by 'the left' against the establishment wiser head party Dems. But those heads pardoned only Manning, who then went on to hang out with the nazis. So they can now tell me, see we told you so.

It was clear from the beginning that they had an agenda to bring the US to its knees. And here we are.

And the side of some current members that probably don't need a shout out from me to drag them into a 'progressive vs establishment' disagreement regarding US intel ops and the US citizen's right to know.

I come down against Dulles' Document Disposal Unit section of our intel. My thinking on Putin and RTV was always negative, and I always got tired of K VandenHuevel offering to take me to visit Cuba.

The grainy helicopter assassination of the reporters in Iraq was the only thing I saw out of Wikileaks. That's the only big revelation I was left with from the whole original Wikileaks Anonymous thing. I was always miffed that privateers like Snowden were employed by my taxdollars in the first place. I didn't like his defection to Russia, in the name of freedom. I never knew where to stand on Assange, but never trusted him, and confirmed that I didn't like him, a long time ago. Way before Nigel visited him, and got caught on camera.

Another good post-er here confirmed my feelings about people claiming to be Anonymous, some of them hooked into our right wing intel, some hooked into Putin. I don't go against our country and back Putin. The only positive thought I had about the KGB was that it was keeping the Dulles old hands occupied sometimes.

Establishment US intel tried to stop li'l bush from going to war. Now the repugs and russian trolls are trying to pretend that those non-Dulles analysts made up the lying intel the bush repugs used to go to war. They're trying to pin it on Dems being deep state intel old hands dragging us into war in Iraq. The fucking russians and repugs are working together to blame Dems and good US intel people for repug fuckups.

I see no fight with you, just academic disagreements. I don't blame you for any of those bad guys. I'm sure not with them.
