...it is getting worse day by day...

Or is it because I didn't read the news for a while ?

I saw something about Trump talking about "shithole" countries ???

He didn't enough to saccage the image of his own country that he have to pile on ?

Which president talk like that ???

He's attacked our oldest and closest allies, nine-tenths of our own citizens and made any relationships with our adversaries exponentially worse. And yes, he referred to "s***hole countries," those he wouldn't welcome as immigrants - mainly those in Africa, big surprise, since he's an unrepentant bigot. What US president would say anything like that?? And why would anyone want to emigrate here now with him attacking immigrants? He has hurt the tourism industry since the beginning. No one wants to come here now and who can blame them? And he still thinks he needs "a wall" to keep people out! He's going to have to build a wall on all coasts to keep Americans in!

...many students changed their minds and have chosen Canada or another country to pursue a master or a Phd...

Some of them with the intention of staying in the US and live there. It is also a painful loss for universities and economy in general.

One of these students is my son : he is graduated in computer sciences, highly specialized and wanted to pursue an MBA in management. He always wanted to live in the US.

He is currently in Great Britain but he is looking to move to Canada. He definitely abandoned the idea of living in the USA

I know many other students that have changed their mind.

This cartoon is really expressive to me :

In only one year, he has hurt this country in so many ways that will take decades to overcome. He has rolled back efforts to combat climate change when time is of the essence. And it is very sad that no one wants to come here now - a feeling that won't change easily, either. I am very sorry about your son, there are so many great universities here and the best and brightest have come here from all over the world to study - and then they have stayed.

And the bottom line is that we are a nation of immigrants. Unless they're Native American, everyone's family came here from somewhere else - including Trump's! (Not to mention his wives!)
