Dow Struggling to Get Back over 24,000 Today

After a weak bounce in early trading, the DJIA slumped back below the 24K level and is bouncing around just under that mark in late morning trades.

It's unclear which direction will take hold this afternoon.

Disclaimer: I have absolutely no insights into market behavior. I'm just reporting on activity as it looks at:

Google's chart is a good way to watch what's going on. It can be refreshed at any time if you're watching closely.

The slope of that curve is not promising at all. In fact, it looks like we may be in for another 1000 point slide before the weekend. That's going to scare the crap out of a lot of people, I'm sure.

Again: I have no expertise in equities trading. I'm just a watcher, with no funds at risk. Others, however, are impacted heavily by such changes.
