The best people? Not so much. Every time Trump does or says something stupid (like every day) the liars fan out in an attempt to confuse the American people. Kelly Ann Conway leads the pack- she is reprehensible.

(58,785 posts)over more than 30 years with the specific intention of deceiving, confusing, dividing and moving right the American people. It's extremely sophisticated and well funded.
Back in 2016 Judicial Watch alone boasted that they had 5 new scandals all designed and developed to carry them and the media through Clinton's presidency. Now the same machines are working hard to keep the Republican Party from losing power.
Here're some of the lies spun by this one well-hooked-in organization in the past few days:

(25,263 posts)Boy - we sure came a long way since then.
This climate of lying in my opinion started when news moved from being news to being entertainment. It opened up the airwaves for spinning a story.
We are now subjected to 24/7 Trump & points and counterpoints by politicians and talking heads each bendind, spinning and lying to sway public opinion.
What's going on with the stock market? What about the plane crash in the Grand Canyon? What about the killings in Kentucky? What's going on in Puerto Rico? What happened to all those people that lost homes in the California to the forest fires?
And countless other newsworthy stories that we don't hear much about because we're subjected to 24/7 Trump, Omorosa, Nunes memo, bigger buttons, etc.
I want to go back to the olden days when we learned about what was really going on.
Some example we're setting for our youth. It's ok to lie or bend the truth. It's a sad commentary on life in 2018.

(2,050 posts)When you could watch the news and not come away feeling sick, they would end with a feel good story every night.
Not so much these days, all you see is bad, those story's always existed but they weren't every story, they say movies and video games inure children to violence.
The news inures us to concern for others and any thought that things can or will ever get better again.
By bombarding us with the worst not the best.
But the sun rises everyday and there's always hope.
