Why are we ignoring the three Democratic Senators who voted against the bipartisan plan to save DACA

They were Martin Heinrich, Tom Udall, and Kamala Harris.

We had 3 red state Democratic Senators who voted for the horrid Grassley/Trump plan as well. They were:
Joe Donnelly - Ind.
Heidi Heitkamp - ND
Joe Manchin - WV

The plan never had a chance to pass, so it's better to vote against it when they already know it's going to fail than to vote for it and give their opponents ammunition in the next election.

I thought I had heard Harris say in an interview that she would give Trump his damn border wall money if it saved the Dreamers. This article says she was opposed to the bill because of the border wall concessions.

She could be a very strong candidate if she runs in 2020.

Her best approach will be to run as an "I won't back down" kind of candidate-which I think is the way she would run.

There was some sort of amendment to it that McCaine and someone else sent up, and she voted for that. It didn’t pass so she felt this wasn’t good enough.
I’d read the court cases were going to effect this fight- and also that a lot of the GOP does not want these curbs to legal immigration. So hopefully something better is down the pipe.

I know Durbin-Graham tried up until recently, but it was effectively dead in late January due to a lack of support and general lunacy from the WH. Just today a White House person under the veil of anonymity met with specific press to attack Graham again specifically.

I keep up with immigration legislation more than most, and today was extremely nuts and confusing if you weren’t up front and in the trenches.

The votes are in — and the bipartisan immigration proposal that had the best chance of passing has failed.

On Thursday afternoon, a compromise proposal written by Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) and Angus King (I-ME), went down to defeat in the Senate, with 54 votes in favor and 45 against. 60 votes were necessary for the amendment to be approved — so it fell six votes short.

Eight Republicans — Sens. Rounds, Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Cory Gardner (R-CO), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), and Johnny Isakson (R-GA) — joined most Democrats to vote in favor of the proposal. All the other Republicans present voted no.

Three Democrats — Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Martin Heinrich (D-NM), and Tom Udall (D-NM) — also voted no, apparently due to concerns that the Rounds deal conceded too much to President Trump on funding of the border wall and other immigration enforcement measures.
