Chuck Todd called Mitt Romney out for not taking questions from American reporters while in London on Thursday morning.
The presumptive Republican nominee headed abroad for his first overseas trip of the 2012 campaign. He is currently in England, and will also travel to Israel and Poland. He met with British leaders on Thursday morning.
"Can't believe Romney took questions from the British press corps but not from my colleagues traveling overseas with him. Bad form," Todd tweeted. He later added, "Whether you love or hate us in the media; you should want your leaders to at least submit themselves to questions."

(32,084 posts)Not just Chuckie. Mitt only talks to FoxNoise. If our MSM weren't such a bunch of GOP water-carriers, I'd be more surprised that this is the first such complaint I have heard.

(34,390 posts)What a contrast, starting with Obama visiting Iraq and Romney is avoiding Afghanistan like the plague. He has also managed to insult Australia & Great Britain--I can't wait until he gets to Poland. I heard on NPR last night that they are importing a bunch of conservative American Jewish leaders to prop up his visit to Israel. Pathetic.

This guy's parochialism and complete lack of cultural awareness would make any of his foreign interactions a national security risk.

When you stop to consider that the British press seems much more willing to ask aggressive, meaningful questions, I fail to see why anyone but pampered stenographers like Chuck Todd should be troubled by Romney's decision to skip over them.
