Christie: Russia indictment shows no collusion by Trump campaign 'to this point'

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 02/18/18 10:25 AM EST

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Sunday that there’s no evidence yet of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia following recent charges against Russian nationals and organizations.

“It proves there’s no collusion to this point. There’s no collusion in terms of the Facebook ads, the other social media activity,” Christie, a former prosecutor, said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“We have to see where he goes next, but certainly at this point there’s no allegation by director Mueller and his team of collusion,” he added, referring to special counsel Robert Mueller.

The Department of Justice announced Friday charges against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian organizations for allegedly attempting to interfere in the 2016 election. The indictment alleges the goal of the Russians was to support then-candidate Donald Trump, and damage his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

The indictment focuses on the thirteen Russians and what they did. The absence of proof in this indictment isn't proof of anything. Is Christie still angling for a job in the Trump administration, or what's left of it?

So far, nobody has been able to prove that Jesus isn't the Son of God. Therefore, we all must accept the premise that he actually might be. At least until there is proof that he isn't.

Se what I'm getting at?

has yet to release to the public everything he has, and he has plenty. He's not done with the investigation, and many of Trump's closest allies and relatives have yet to be interviewed. When everything is wrapped up and Mueller ties it with a pretty bow as a gift to America, then we'll know the full scope of Trump's crimes.
