He’s “winning” with Russia’s help. Why would he want to do anything to hinder that?

He's so out of his depth that he couldn't possibly recognize the difference between a win and a loss, because he has long forgotten which side he's supposed to be on. He doesn't even know what constitutes a personal win any longer because a win on one front is a massive loss on the flip side. (Russian help vs DOJ investigations, as just one example)
