Was at work and heard a client say Pakland was a Govt false flag

He wasnt talking to me, he was talking to another of our reps next to me and he said "you know there's kids that said he didnt do it. they saw him and heard gunfire elsewhere. You dont know if its true or not but you know the government will do stuff like this to try to take the guns away. abd i tell you what, if they try to take mine i'll take as many of them down as i can before they get em."

I literally froze in disbelief, this is what rural America has become? Not everyone obviously, but there's more than just a few of these guys out there buying into the Alex Jones crap thats truly scary .

disconnected from common sense grounding in reality by a deliberate and effective propaganda campaign extending over multiple decades.

It is a truly fucked up and dangerous situation.

when they drive and gradually have become indoctrinated. Then they go home and have Fox News playing throughout the day. People like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity play on their fears and anger. Lacking any meaningful interaction with more informed people or legitimate media, their anger grows.

Little do they know that their brainwashing was for money and ratings, not necessarily power. If they ever truly found out how they've been used, there would be a revolution and it would be well armed.

My hubby works for a major airline carrier and a lot of his union co workers are Reich wingers. Those with the longest commutes are the staunchest anti government conservatives and those who have shorter commutes are sane people or liberals . One guy commutes 45 miles each way over an hour plus. He is an unhinged Reich winger who thinks climate global warming is a hoax, Obama was a Muslim operative, the Russian meddling in our election is because Hillary was a sore loser and the newest comment was liberals should be eliminated and erraticated. That newest comment has really unsettled me. This indoctrination is not stopped will cause our country to split up into a civil war that will not have a happy ending.

These Reich wingers have really been brainwashed by those long commutes.

Someone on a long daily commute is a captive audience. At least when they are home, they usually get up and do things or switch channels to a favorite show.

There was a documentary by a woman who saw her moderate Democratic father turn into an extremist, because of his commutes listening to right-wing radio. It is addictive and dangerous. Why can't they just listen to music?

Some of the people spreading this nonsense are just too smart to believe it. And this has been going on well before Trump.

They only follow Alex Jones, Fox News, Michael Savage and other right-wing sources. I can't imagine being so angry and disconnected from reality that I believe every conspiracy theory that rolls off the kook assembly line just because it supports my politics.
