Really? Sunrise Tactical Supply? Tactical? As in warfare? As in SWAT team?

(This thread inspired by this one by Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin, naming the business that sold the gun to the school shooter: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100210259607)

What the hell is a "tactical supply store"?

I get "gun shop" and "sporting goods store" and even "hunter supplies".

But "tactical supply store"? Really? To whom does such a store appeal? Can you buy MREs there for the jungle work you have coming up? Can you buy kevlar fashions? Mirror sunglasses? How about Confederate flags?

Is it for cops? I should think the police departments supply all the "tactical" stuff they need. Are cops even allowed to freelance their "tactical" gear?

Maybe its for mall cops?

School crossing guards?

Angry bus drivers?

Safari guides?

Intergallactic storm troopers?

Pissant, doughy gun humpers?

Hmm . . . . . yeah . . . .

“The tremendous sense of responsibility in this situation and just horribleness that they feel that one of their weapons fell into the hands of this maniac,” Rudman said. “They are scared — not just for their safety — but more importantly about how the reaction is going to be for the rest of the community as they try to reenter it.”

It is like catnip to those clods.

We were goofing on the term in this thread, back in January.

Their website is down, too. They are getting blasted on Yelp. Oh, the poor dears, I hope they don't suffer much inconvenience...

7. Places like that have popped up all over the country, and some have "tactical" in their names.

Their customers are mostly chicken shit cowards that were too afraid to join the military. They want to feel like they have power over others. This bunch is where most of the small city cops and deputies come from.

I know it isn't fashionable to name postal workers, but if trump screws up the USPS and ruins peoples' pensions, there might be a resurgence of peopke going "postal."

"Tactical" is slapped everywhere. Guns are sold with a "Call of Duty" type "coolness." They're not just selling a gun - they're selling the idea that owning a gun makes you like a real soldier and an action hero. They also play into the fantasy of shooting home invaders, when in reality, you're much more likely to kill yourself with your own gun.

They get all huffy when you point that out, but with many of them it is as plain as the noses on their faces.
