Dont blame Washington. Blame the GOP

But the problem isn’t “Washington.” It isn’t “Congress,” either. The problem is elected officials from a single political party: the GOP.

Republicans in the White House and Congress are the ones standing in the way of helping “dreamers.” They are not merely obstructing gun reform but also rolling back existing gun-control measures.

You’d never know it from the usual “blame Washington” rhetoric, but there are lots of common-sense policy changes, on supposedly unsolvable issues, that large majorities of voters from both parties support.

specific on who the bedblockers are. "The Swamp" "Washington" "Congress" usually go unchallenged as to WHO exactly they are referring to. It isn't the Democratic Party that wants to stop/hinder gun control. It isn't the Democratic Party that wants to gift $1 trillion to the mega rich. It isn't the Democratic Party that wants to take away Social Security from the American people. It's the Republican Party, and not only Republicans avoid mentioning their own party's name when casting blame, but the media too, for fear of being accused of siding with one side, rather than telling the truth.

It drives me crazy that reporters are too lazy or told not to state clearly where the blame lies in congress. The repubs count on this so they continue on their course w the democrats getting equal blame.
