I like to know why Romney is meeting with the leaders of the UK?

I mean he's not elected to any office at this time, he technically is a private citizen.

Seems all he has done is make an embarassment of himself.

I don't recall McCain or Obama meeting with with the leader of China before the Olympics in 2008. I don't think either candidate even went to the Olympics.

I realize that Romney has a reason to be in London, one of his horses is part of the Olympics. But are all the other 20,000 people who are part of the Olympics (as a athelete, coach or owner) also meeting with the leaders of Great Britian.

We had 8 years of a dimwit who made an ass of himself whenever he was overseas (Bush Jr.). I really don't think Romney should just stick to his horse competition and quit making a fool of himself!

to reassure them that if "that dirty little muslim" in DC even thinks of going after them for the LIBOR fraud. He'll have their backs, if his purchase of the White House is successful.

I'm dreading his outing to Israel. That's an international incident waiting to happen.

Obama traveled internationally and met with world leaders Karzai, al-Maliki, King Abdullah, Abbas, Olmert, Merkel, Sarkozy and Gordon Brown, though I don't remember either in China.

Heck even Sarah Palin, back in 2008, had more justification since she was an elected governor at the time.

meeting with other world leaders. I don't recall if McCain did (I didn't really follow his campaign that much) but I remember that Obama did.

Again - he was a US Senator. And i think somewhere I even said Sarah Palin could be justified back in 2008 since she was a governor.

I don't have a problem with private citizens meeting with foreign leaders. It's their country, they can meet with whoever they want to. I'm not sure why foreign leaders would want to meet with him, though.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Gads, he feels such a sense of ENTITLEMENT-- it's sickening.

do this. It's called burnishing foreign credentials.

He is making an ass of himself, but we have had this happen for a long time.
