Something one of the Parkland chaps said triggered a thought.

He said they started at the top to change things and that didn't work, now they'll have to start at the bottom and work toward the top to change things.

What these people like LaPierre, trump and rubio don't realize is they are up against a bunch of young people who expect their favorite program to load in 2 seconds, the t.v. is an instant on. They've been used to blazing speed on most of what they do.

Their patience is short. They will work for what they want until November then they'll bring the curtain down on people who have facilitated the attack on their school and friends. Make no mistake, they will do it.

Lots of opposition for decades and then, the culture changed within a couple of years to accomodate it. Now, there is no going back.

The #metoo movement is another example of the culture changing which will have immense political ramifications. It reinforces for me that we have to change the culture first before there can be sustainable political progress on a given issue.
