I knew from her that Manafort did this because he was greedy and broke. Rachel did a story when she said that his daughters asked each other, "Why is Dad suddenly so cheap?". She also explained why he volunteered to work for the Moron for free. He was so desperate for his money in Ukraine to be freed up that he considered it an "investment" which would benefit him when sanctions were lifted and he had access to his money.

The one thing that I do wonder about is why he lived in a gated condo complex when the FBI raided his home and arrested him in the early morning. If he had so much money in real estate investments, why didn't he live in a private home that was private, large, secluded and had security? Am I missing something here?
