OK, let's reverse the tape

A Nikolas Cruz bursts into a classroom. And he knows that the teacher is armed. So where does he aim first? Why, at the teacher, of course. Or, he does kill many students, with an assault weapon it won't take long, and by the time the poor teacher is reaching for his or her gun, he is gone, to the next room.

Even if the adjacent rooms hear the gunshots, he is on a different floor.

Teachers, instead of closing the door and tending to the students, rush our, as, no doubt, are some students and in the gun exchange, one or more students die.

Cruz gets killed, AFTER unloading several magazines on kids.

The worst case scenario, teacher misses Cruz, Cruz kills teacher & kills or severely wounds several kids.

In the worst case, the ONLY difference is that an additional teacher would be killed.

You have to AIM with a handgun, unlike an AR-15. Furthermore, you have to pull it out of wherever you have it, if indeed you actually have it on your person, have the presence of mind to quickly aim accurately, and not hit children in a chaotic situation that Trump can't even imagine.

As usual, Trump is an idiot. A dangerous idiot.

to the slight change, grab their gun and shoot.

I hope that the teachers union will take a strong stand. But, of course, as we know, the union is a "liberal group.."

The Teachers Union will throw her/him to the wolves of public opinion and parental outrage.
Maurading gunman or not.

It'll be more exciting than shooting students sitting-duck style.

I'm being serious. I think arming teachers will increase the number of school shootings.

Most of these bad-gun guys don't expect to make it out alive.

I think it likely that armed teachers will shoot when there is no threat. If someone is armed, they are already in a heightened state of awareness/anxiety. A car backfires or there is a ruckus in the hallway, and that teacher runs out of the classroom, gun in hand ready to shoot.
