Hmmmm . . . . . . .

So Mueller is upping the charges against Manafort and Gates. He is turning the pressure on them up to eleventeen.

Why? He already has charges against each of them that would keep them in prison for the rest of their natural lives. Why waste time and resources on someone who you already own?

Clearly there is a bigger target. And it is not Bannon, or Jared, or The Czarina. Not Uday and Qusay. Not even the various camp followers, court jesters, and hangers on. It is only one target. A big, fatassed orange one.

The others will all get theirs in due course. No worries. Whoever in that group will be charged will be slam dunks. Irrefutable proof.

The big target, it seems to me, will be charged with felonies. No unindicted coconspirator this time. Nope. Real charges. I believe Mueller already knows what happened and has the proof he would need to charge if his target were not in the position he is.

Mueller needs a mountain of facts. He needs an indictment as thick as the DC phone book.

If you are going to charge the President of the United States with crimes against the United States, the charges need to be crystal clear so there can be no doubt. No one can find them to be fake news.

He doesn't need Manafort to flip. But he wants that. He wants that because Manafort was the direct link to Putin. He wants Manafort to be the one that says it. He wants Manafort to say "I worked for Russia to get Donald Trump elected President. I worked with Donald Trump's full knowledge and consent."

I'm not sure when this will happen, but it will happen soon.

My suggestion as a way to help Manafort get his mind right is Mueller offer some serious protection from the Russian assassins that will be dispatched to kill him.

This will be the biggest single event in the history of the United States. An enemy agent in the White House. Our national secrets may already have been passed.

I have faith we will survive and prosper.

of person. He's going to dig down to the bottom until he hits rock because that's what he does. It's his job. It's not personal. Kinda like playing with a human Rubic Cube.

I hope Mueller has Schneiderman involved, so that there are unpardonable state-charges.

Meuller subpoenas Manafort. Manafort has to answer. Mueller asks questions. Manafort answers or again falls afoul of the law.

in the money trails and that Mueller will be going through all of it and it will probably go well into 2019. This is a thorough investigation and Mueller is not rushing it. They also said Manafort may be pardoned and of course NY AG Schneiderman will nail him. And, there is so much "horrific" evidence against him that he WILL go to Fed Prison for life or Putin will have him killed. Maybe he will hang himself before that...who knows.

What I can't figure out is why Manafort lived in a condo complex when the FBI woke him up to arrest him if he owned multi million dollar real estate? Why not a nice, big separate house with a security gate and no neighbors and HOA rules to follow? I know he is pretty stupid but come on!

Once you’ve went down that rabbit hole, is there any way you can exist and not be under their threat?

I’m in no way being snarky or rude, I just cannot imagine an out once you went that far. It seems to me life as you knew it is over forever. Either you tow the line or you wait to be removed for being too big of a liability. Which is quite literally where Manafort is at I suspect.

No doubt.
That's the fucking scary part.
I've been focusing on Trump being a dictator, but it now seems like even if we get the criminal ass in prison, the U.S. could be in danger of an attack.

If someone is charged with first degree murder, and you find evidence he killed a second person, do you not file charges because he's already charged with murdering someone else? Of course you do.

Also, you never know what a jury will do. Manafort & Gates might be acquitted on the other charges. That tax evasion charge is heavy duty stuff. You don't mess around with Jim. And you don't mess around with the IRS.

NOT "Lock him up!"

In fact, it could hurt him.

A pardon makes Manafort unprosecutable but not immune to subpoenas to give testimony. Once he testifies, he can't lie. If he does lie then he gets more federal charges for that.
