The next year broke records both in numbers of visitors and dollars spent.
Do what your heart and mind dictates but be prepared for disappointment.

Especially Disney for the BS they are pulling with bonuses and the union contract in negotiations.

Those are the unintended consequences of boycotting Florida tourism, the working people are the ones who get screwed.

To me a better was is to donate to Florida politicians who support gun control and banning assault rifles. And boycott media mouthpieces who promote the NRA so their advertisers pull out.

JMHO of course, YMMV.

but I'm still going. they are 6 and 3 and wouldn't understand why we are not going

It's not that I don't agree with what is trying to be done, I just can't comply at this time

Do not feel like doing the research but my guess is well over 40 states allow assault rifles.

Why not visit Massachusetts? The birthplace of the revolution with so many historic sites. Educational and fun. Plus they have very strict gun laws. The odds of you getting shot are significantly lower than in states like Florida.

consequences like people losing jobs. However, boycotting all things Disney to get them to pressure the FL state legislature could be very effective. Sure they make lots of money from Disney World but they make a whole lot more from movies etc.
