The buffoon is talking and MSNBC is playing his dribble in full. Even so-called leftist media.

MSNBC is playing this idiot -- uninterrupted. He's calling CNN fake news. Where is the push back? During Obama's term, Fox viewers had no idea what Obama said, because they wouldn't play him until they had the opportunity to edit it and formulate an orchestrated attack. Yet, we have to watch his reality TV presidency while he dismantles our democracy.

However, it's important that we be able to see and hear what Orange Foolius is up to, if we have the stomach for it. The fact that Fox "News" ignores news it doesn't like doesn't mean other networks should do it, too - that's how we end up in ignorant, mutually hostile ideological bubbles. We don't want to be the liberal version of Fox watchers.

They lost my viewership until Chris Hayes comes on in 9 hours. That's the penalty for broadcasting this imbecile.

My complaint isn't that I am unable to mute him. My complaint is that he is being normalized and respected. My complaint is that there really isn't a mainstream news network that tells the truth. I wouldn't mind if MSNBC played him all day if they actually called out his lies in real time. I'm calling out his lies in my head as he speaks and it's so frustrating that the viewers we need to get him out of there are being indoctrinated.

No one can argue that this method doesn't work. They are succeeding at making him normal.

Independent voters are watching this. I can watch DU starting thread after thread while he speaks pointing out his lies. But on MSNBC, he just goes on unchallenged. There is no real time lie meter.

could be a good thing? He's far more "dignified" when he's neither heard nor seen.

And it sounds like he's at least partly off script.

Fwiw, the non-Fox press long ago adopted methods of dealing with a man who undoubtedly expected to spend hours each day as president in front of cameras and talking to daytime screen audiences. Instead he mostly sits and watches the same shows many here do.

They are a news network.

He is the president giving a much talked about speech.

That is big news

It would be irresponsible for them to not show it.

I personally hate fox for editing the news. Among many other reasons. I am glad other networks do not emulate them.

That doesn't help low information voters, independent voters, MSNBC viewers who aren't deeply interested enough in politics to tease out his lies and misinformation. MSNBC is normalizing him.
