Democrats Did Not Abandon DACA. Polls Showed Public Did Not Approve Of Shut Down Over It.

The Democrats could not really shut down the government over DACA. Of course the polls showed strong support for DACA but the voters would not support shut down to get it. So the Democrats really did not have the leverage they needed.
