The schools are short of money now. I do not want my property taxes to go to pay for guns.

(743 posts)Are they expected to have to pay to get a concealed license as well? I think the last time I checked it was a hundred dollars just for that.
So estimating,
Around 700 to 800 bucks for the gun
Ammo? Like 25 to 50 bucks
Concealed License 100
Holster/Lock Safe or Case? 50 bucks?
So Est total: 875.00/1000.00
So teachers are expected to shell out that amount of money now? That money could go to buying supplies and materials that teachers desperately need in order to educate our kids. They don't need to put that money into something that will kill kids instead. Arming teachers is one of the worst ideas ever!

The NRA is awash in Putin bribe money, I'm sure they would be willing to share their treasonous loot.

I don't know much about handling guns, especially in an emergency, but that really stuck with me. Training requires more than an annual excursion to the gun range like tRump tweeted.

My friend's a teacher. She jumped for joy when I gave her some old wrapping paper to be used as bulletin board covers because it was one less thing she had to pay for out of pocket.
